Nexus does everything RIGHT, but it just doesn't do it right enough. What I mean is, with all these well implemented features, it feels like a lot of it goes to waste. The leveling system feels less important without a level cap, and it would be nice if we could use the character we built up in arena in the story mode. The GOL3Ms make for good bosses, but at the same time they slow down the pacing a LOT. As far as level design goes, the environments are quite plain. More provided cover and environmental hazards would be a good idea. I'd also like to see light armor offer some type of benefit to the player so that GOL3M pieces don't become the inevitable goal. The cosmetic pieces are useless in a mode where style does you absolutely nothing. While it is nice to have them there, maybe have them offer points in certain skill trees? For example, Wearing Hank's shades would give you extra points in AWR, or wearing pocketed light armor would increase carrying capacity. I understand that the biggest issue here is coding, and that Swain has his own life to get to, but I really ask that you consider such changes at they would give the game greater replayability and would just make the game greater as a whole. Oh, and as for the bosses, how about some of the giants from the series? Ones that have little to no armor, but take one hell of a beating. Oh, and an enticement to use unarmed would be nice, just saying.

The game is broken to the point of being unplayable. When I launch it, it gets stuck at the main menu and all the items are stuck flashing. Perhaps an error reading stop();'s or however actionscript has you stop a clip these days.

meh

for a chess board it's kinda cool,
but still a little lame.
sorry.

Irony :The Game:

Me and my sis were watching this together.

Excelent

This is a whole new angle on flash fighting, not only because its got a good design, but because it uses real people.

And for the n00bs out there, Dan can move so fast, if you rapidly go up, then down, no one except stamper can toutch you; so stop bitching about how this game is "toohaard" or "impoooosible".

I loved this game from the moment it began!

The story was heart-breaking, (in a good way) and the gameplay was awesome and original, a true aspiration for lower-class designers like me.

A True Original

As far as i know, theres no other game like this in the world, and the quality and concept of the game itself is jaw-dropping.
-HOWEVER-
the Newgrounds medals dont work.

What a feat to behold!

It has all of the most amazing qualities of a flash puzzle game!
-It's addictive.(What all flash games run on but especialy puzzles)
-It's chalenging.
-It's got a little blood.
-It's got a story.
-And Just about anyone with the patience can do it!
Bravo!

This took a lot of work to make...

As a designer/animator/coder, I understand how hard it is to make a game like this. The artwork; Breath-taking. The gameplay; Astounding, though not incredibly interesting. It doesnt quite keep me wanting to play it over and over again. Not that im saying its a bad game dont get me wrong, i just think it lacks that addictivness that flash games have potential to reach.

Im just an ameture Flash game designer/actionscrip tor/artist since i work independantly.
